Hunger und Krankheiten als Waffe – Wie Israel das Gesundheitssystem in Gaza torpediert
Kritiker sprechen von gezielten Tötungen, um das Gesundheitssystem in Gaza im Rahmen eines Völkermords zu zerstören. Die israelische Armee hingegen spricht von Einzelfällen, Versäumnissen einzelner Soldaten oder „operativen Missverständnissen“. Was steckt wirklich hinter den über 1.500 getöteten Medizinern?

Können Sie sich das vorstellen? Zuerst versucht die „humanste Armee der Welt“ in Gaza, die Menschen in ihren Häusern und auf ihren Straßen und Plätzen zu töten, dann lassen die zionistischen „Humanisten“ nur noch einen Bruchteil der lebensnotwendigen Lebensmittel und Medikamente nach Gaza hinein. Letzteres geschieht mit dem erklärten Ziel, die dort noch lebenden Menschen durch Hunger und Krankheit gefügig zu machen, damit sie sich nicht mehr gegen eine Zwangsvertreibung zur Wehr setzen.
Aber nicht wenige Beobachter sehen hinter diesem kriminellen Vorgehen des Netanjahu-Regimes noch ein schlimmeres Verbrechen. Sie sehen es als Teil des Völkermords, dessen Israel offiziell vom Internationalen Strafgerichtshof in Den Haag sowie von vielen Staaten rund um die Welt beschuldigt wird. Denn Israel benutzt Hunger und Krankheiten als Waffen zur gewaltsamen Reduzierung der Bevölkerung Gazas.
Denn die fürchterlichen hygienischen Zustände in Gaza – ein Ergebnis der willkürlichen, von Israel herbeigeführten Wasserknappheit – und die von akuter Unterernährung geschwächten Menschen bieten teils tödlichen Krankheiten einen idealen Nährboden. Die ersten Opfer sind in der Regel die Schwachen, die Alten und kleinen Kinder, die ohne medizinische Versorgung geringe Chancen haben, zu überleben.
Der operative Begriff hier ist: „ohne medizinische Versorgung“. Dass es diese in Gaza nicht mehr gibt, darum haben sich die zionistischen Humanisten in Uniform der israelischen Armee zielgerichtet und systematisch gekümmert. Denn mit dem ersten Tag des Krieges griff Israel das an, was die Palästinenser am dringendsten brauchten: ihr Gesundheitssystem.

Breaking the Silence is an organization of veteran soldiers who have served in the Israeli military since the start of the Second Intifada and have taken it upon themselves to expose the public to the reality of everyday life in the Occupied Territories. Al-Haq
Defending Human Rights
Al-Haq is an independent Palestinian non-governmental human rights organisation based in Ramallah, West Bank. Established in 1979 to protect and promote human rights and the rule of law in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT), the organisation has special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
Al-Haq documents violations of the individual and collective rights of Palestinians in the OPT, irrespective of the identity of the perpetrator, and seeks to end such breaches by way of advocacy before national and international mechanisms and by holding the violators accountable. The organisation conducts research; prepares reports, studies and interventions on breaches of international human rights and humanitarian law in the OPT; and undertakes advocacy before local, regional and international bodies. Al-Haq also cooperates with Palestinian civil society organisations and governmental institutions in order to ensure that international human rights standards are reflected in Palestinian law and policies. The organisation has a specialised international law library for the use of its staff and the local community.
Al-Haq is the West Bank affiliate of the International Commission of Jurists – Geneva and is a member of the International Network for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR-Net), the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN), the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT), the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), Habitat International Coalition (HIC), the Palestinian Human Rights Organisations Council (PRHOC), and the Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO).
For its work in protecting and promoting human rights, the organisation has been awarded the Fayez A. Sayegh Memorial Award, the Rothko Chapel Award for Commitment to Truth and Freedom, The Carter-Menil Human Rights Foundation Prize, the Geuzenpenning Prize for Human Rights Defenders, the Welfare Association’s NGO Achievement Award, The Danish PL Foundation Human Rights Award, the Human Rights Prize of the French Republic, the Human Rights and Business Award, the Bruno Kreisky Prize in 2022 and the MESA Academic Freedom Award 2022.
In 2021, professor Lynn Welchman published a book titled “Al-Haq: A Global History of the First Palestinian Human Rights Organization” – (University of California Press, 2021 – New Directions in Palestinian Studies). The publication studies the origins of Al-Haq, the first Palestinian human rights organization, and of the wider significance of the methodologies and approaches instigated by Al-Haq and developed under Israeli occupation and into the early years of the Palestinian Authority.
